“I’m not creative, I’m not ambitious enough, I’m too impatient, I’m too broke to start anything and I don’t have time, I’m this, I’m that, I am not this.” Are these statements true about you or me or anyone who talks to themselves like this? Absolutely not, that has FEAR written all over it. What is mind boggling is that we have about 80% loser thoughts everyday according to most psychology experts. Perhaps we should think more positive but does it actually work?

Dr. Carmen Harra explains: “Affirmations are proven methods of self-improvement because of their ability to rewire our brains. Much like exercise, they raise the level of feel-good hormones and push our brains to form new clusters of “positive thought” neurons.”

Positive affirmations help us get what we want in our life but only if we turn our thoughts into words and words into action. One of my dearest coaches and someone who continues to inspire me is Jenna Phillips. Her company “I’m On A Mission” and “I Am” for short illustrates that everyone is on a unique personal mission and also pushes you to think about your ways of BEING in order to achieve your mission. A lot of good ENERGY and awesome hats www.imonamission.com.

But why not follow up our loser thoughts with empowering ones:

I am not creative …………I am creative

I am not ambitious………I am a mover and shaker

I am too impatient………..I am patient and persistent

I am too broke……………..I am blessed and abundant

But what if you’re telling yourself “I am sexy” in the mirror and you’re just not feeling it?Some people say “fake it, till you make it.” NO ONE will perceive you that way if you don’t perceive yourself that way. In other words we get to THINK, SAY, AND ACT in alignment with who you want to BE.

In addition to positive affirmations it’s helpful to bring your darkness to light. The key to be LIBERATED from that “thorn at your side” is to fully understand it. This “ISH” takes massive COURAGE though. Author, spiritual guide, and candidate for U.S. Congress Marianne Williamson says in her book A Return to Love, “It takes courage…to endure the sharp pains of self discovery rather than choose to take the dull pain of unconsciousness that would last the rest of our lives.” Avoiding our fear is what holds us back from our consciousness and consciousness is LIVING WITHOUT FEAR.

Do you know where your FEAR is coming from?

Look. I know it ain’t easy to bring up the past but its already effecting your life whether you face it or not. Be COURAGEOUS enough to face it in order to let it go.

One love,
